Siobhán is from Oranmore, Galway but living in the city. She plays fiddle, and piano. Her father Tommy is a well known uilleann piper, originally from Waterford and her mother Jacqueline McCarthy is a very respected concertina player and is the daughter of the late Tommy McCarthy from West Clare who was a multi-instrumentalist playing pipes, whistle and concertina. Her brother Pádraic and sister Maisie play also. Her music has been broadcast on Clare FM, Raidió na Gaeltachta, TG4 and RTÉ Radio and Television. She was awarded a B.A. (Hons) degree in Traditional Music Performance from University of Limerick in 2012 and has just completed a primary teaching degree. Her music has brought her right across Europe where she played with a dance show in Germany, Austria, Italy, Sweeden and Switzerland. She spent a summer playing music in New York and studied music in Canada for a semester. Her music is strongly influenced by musicians such as the late Bobby Casey, Jesse Smith and Paddy Fahey.
